Licence

Lipi Toolkit contains many different components.  In general, it is our intention is to see that the components of Lipi Toolkit can be used really everywhere and for every reason without any real restrictions. Hence all components in Lipi Toolkit - including the Core Toolkit - are licensed under the MIT license. This is the weakest license, meaning it applies the least restrictions.

It is possible that in the future, Lipi Toolkit may include components built using more restrictively licensed subcomponents. An example of this might be an standalone tool which uses open source GUI widgets licensed under a restrictive license such as the GNU General Public License (2.0). This may require use to license the tool itself under a similar restrictive license.

Keeping this future scenario in mind, we have identified the license associated along with each component, both on the web page and in the source code (where source code has been provided). Please refer to the source code of each piece of software or any individual component for the applicable license to be aware of all of your rights and obligations. They clearly indicate this with an obvious license declaration at the top of each source file.

COPYRIGHT

While most of the toolkit uses code copyrighted by Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P., some tools and utilities may use code copyrighted by others. Copyright information is specified in the header of each source code file.
